DaVinci Resolve 16

Der er kommet en ny version af Resolve. Det ligner godt nok en massiv opgradering.



Jeg er dog ikke sikker på, man ville overleve de første ti minutter af videoen, hvis man skulle tage et shot, hver gang de sagde "Neural Engine".

Uuuh, Adjustment Clip, det kommer jeg til at bruge i stor stil. Hvis altså det er en feature der kommer med i den gratis version.

Andre gode updates jeg lige lagde mærke til: Audio scrubbing, histogram på curves, bedre node copy/paste, loudness tools i fairlight.

Frame.io var ikke noget jeg kendte til og heller ikke noget jeg har brug for, men det ser sgu smart ud.

Foley sampler... Mmmkay, sjov tanke.

Så at der var ny firmware til nogle af deres Black Magic kamera'er med deres eget RAW video format, og at det muligvis var i den forbindelse at DaVinci skulle opdateres så den understøttede det.

Deres eget RAW format er vist rimelig godt og gennemtænkt

Kikkede lidt på deres kameraer for noget tid siden, syntes at der måske var rimelig sammenhæng mellem pris og kvalitet,... altså måske

Her tænker jeg på som alternative til f.eks. at købe et brugt GH5 som vel er et defacto valg for semi-pro løsning med understøttelse af 60hz 4K

Hvad er consensus omkring deres egne kameraer ?

Det nye pocket cinema 4k får utroligt gode reviews med på vejen. Arbejder man i Resolve og kan leve med en 4/3 sensor, så er det oplagt at undersøge om det vil fungere for dig. Deres nye RAW format skulle være meget agilt og selvfølgelig fungere rigtig godt med Resolve.

Alternativt er det nye Sony A6400 et meget interessant bud. 4K @30FPS, god colour science, og ikke mindst ingen limit på video længde som alle andre kompakt kameraer har. Man kan altså skyde mere end 29 minutter og 59 sekunder.

Jeg vil selv gerne opgradere mit kamera inden længe og er ret sikker på jeg lander på Sony A6400. Der er flere ting som gør det, bl.a. at jeg har et A5000 nu som jeg er glad for. Størrelsen er god. Mere alsidig end Pocket Cinema, som ikke lige er et kamera man f.eks. tager med på ferie. Større sensor på A6400.

Er der nogen, der allerede har prøvet så meget, at man sammenligne CPU forbrug fra v. 15 til v. 16? Det har været svært for mig at trække programmet indtil nu - f.eks. en multicam session med tre kameraer. Her har Final Cut leveret massivt meget bedre på min computer.
Men et flot update.

Jeg er en af dem, der mest tænkte, den nye cut page var sådan lidt en indbygget begynder-editor, og at jeg nok bare ville blive i edit-page.

I den her video (som har imponerende dårlig speak-lyd), kommer de omkring alle de nye fordele ved den nye cut page, og nu er jeg lige pludselig virkelig begejstret for den. Den vil bestemt gøre mit workflow meget hurtigere.

Har installeret, men 16.0.b vil ikke godtage mit grafikkort, så venter lige på næste beta.

Resolve 16 Beta 2 er ude.

For mig har det løst mid CUDA kerne problem, beta 1 crashede ved opstart, så det er jo lækkert :)
